Ministry of Worship
An encounter with the Living God

Worship is a core ministry of WPMF. Together, the pastor and the worship committee plan worship services, themes and sermon series, and special contributions of music, movement, drama and visual art. They continually listen to the congregation during and in between Sunday mornings to discern what is meaningful and timely for the congregation's worship. The committee meets regularly and is free to recruit their own members and determine their own term limits, if any.

In past years, WPMF has had three very gifted women serving as Minister of Worship. This person was responsible for coordinating the worship service schedule, finding people to fill the various roles each week, and talking with the pastor and elders about issues related to worship and about possible themes for sermon series, among other things. Lois Neufeld held this position first, until her family moved to Africa with MCC; then Rachel Stutzman took the position for a time, followed by Brenda Rich who served in this capacity from 2002-2007. Pastor Lorie Hershey has assumed the responsibilities of the Minister of Worship as of November 2007.
